Annual Pittsfield Balloon Festival club Outing at Bob Legg’s August 5-6-7th! Details fom Bob below…..
You are invited to our small town that puts Pittsfield on the map for a fun and PHOTO oriented event. Winning images are created every year at this balloon rally.
Weather permitting, 12+ balloons will rise at about 5:30 PM on Friday and Saturday evening, and at 5:30 AM on Sat. and Sunday. Morning fog and reflections are awesome. Sat. evening also includes a “balloon chase” with a stop for ice crem, “balloon glow”, nd fireworks reflected in the Suncook River. No admission or parking charges. My wife and I also open up our house in Pittsfield. We’ll have a cookout lunch/supper on Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:30 PM, and leave for the “event” downtown at about 5 PM. Outdoor activities at our home include nature setups at my frog pond and wildflowers in the field. My wife does not do photos, so spouses are cordially invited. If you come for the Sat. AM balloon rise, we will find interesting subjects to photograph before the BBQ. Some overnight arrangements are available Friday and Sat. Tents (open field camping) or campers are also welcome.
All I ask is for an RSVP by Aug. 1st and if you can bring food and/or drink.
Definitions for 2005-2006: The definitions were accepted with the exception of one change – on “Above the Roofline”, the roofline does not actually have to be showing in the image. Examples of subjects for this category would be cupolas, steeples, weathervanes, clock towers, chimneys, etc.
Giclee Prints: For those of you who are interested in having Giclee prints made, Arthur Rounds does them. Talk to Bob Legg for more information.

New England Varsity Magazine is looking for photographers to shoot High School sports events to be published in their magazine. Anyone interested talk to Bob Legg.
PSA: The club voted to become a member of PSA this year as a trial. PSA provides the club with the opportunity to participate in salons. They also have a digital critique circuit. A message from our President, Bob Legg:
Hello fellow Camera Club enthusiasts. This will be the shortest newsletter you’ll get all year 2004. It is also the only one. For those of you who have been absent, (we do miss many of you that have disappeared) the club is growing rapidly. We have on average over 20 members per meeting and a total paid membership of 33.There is new interest as many members have new photo technology in their hands. Do you have a new camera, new computer or printer and looking for answers or help from fellow members? Why not come and check us out. Don’t be intimidate, as there are only a few of us old members still kicking around. The work fromnew members ranges from learning to top notch. You’ll fit right in. Fantastic prints are entered in every competition. And I introduced the club to slides that I had made from digital files uploaded to slides.com. Fast, easy upload and at 2.50 each no more expensive than price of slide film and processing. (Compared to keeping 3-4 winners per roll of 36 exp). We’ll be experimenting with other vendors also, as projection via a LCD projector is still a few years away and many club members have some sort of digital camera. Most members print their own prints on ink jets.
Our next meeting is January 10th. We’ll have slide presentations by 3 club members. Please check out our website for fantastic member photos, meeting details, useful links, and everything photo in NH.

See the updated MCC Competition Rules.

There are not a lot of details at this point, but they would like to know if there is interest enough to plan an outing. So if you do have an interest, please let me know so I can pass it on to Jocelyn. Thank you, and I’m sorry I forgot to bring it up a the meeting.
